ABOUT ME

A Journey Through Colour, Form, and Heritage

I am a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose work is a vibrant reflection of my global perspective and deep connection to the natural world.

As a seasoned world traveller, my creative practice is a constant dialogue between my formal training at CTI Clonmel & the National College of Art & Design (NCAD) in Dublin and the profound aesthetic influences I have gathered from my time spent across the globe.

Particularly within the African continent and South East Asia, where I pursued further studies in traditional textile art.

Artistic Practice and Style

My work is a celebration of light and movement, characterized by a bold use of vibrant colour and rhythmic design. My style seamlessly merges the Fauvism of Henri Matisse with the symbolic power and organic patterns found in African textile traditions.
As a versatile practitioner, I fluidly move between mediums to achieve rich, tactile surfaces that evoke both the rugged beauty of the Irish landscape and the warmth of the African sun. My portfolio features:

Mixed Media: Integrating acrylics, gel printing, and collage to create layered narratives that honour global craft traditions.

Wearable Art: Designing handcrafted jewellery, scarves, and bespoke bags that showcase Irish flora and fauna, African wildlife and rich, continent-inspired palettes.

Nature & Symbolism: Exploring flora and fauna to highlight the interconnectedness of life across different continents.

Exhibition and Community

Beyond the studio, I am a active figure in the international arts scene, frequently exhibiting my work to share a unique fusion of Northern European and African inspiration. Believing art serves as a cultural bridge, inviting viewers to explore the shared beauty of a diverse world.

Dedicated to fostering creativity in others, I also leads dynamic art workshops. Through these sessions, I can teach students how to navigate the complexities of colour and medium while encouraging them to discover their own "visual voice" through the exploration of global heritage.
